Five years ago we decided to draw on our experience in the claims
industry and design a software solution that would solve
the frustrations of this industry. To our surprise the internal
office procedures and systems had not changed much from 15 years
ago when everything was paper-based, with the exception of computers
being used as glorified typewriters.
So much was possible. We designed a working prototype dubbed
ICMS, that addressed the basic requirements such as claim file
management, invoicing, reporting, etc... Following a small
news release in Insurance First Magazine we were flooded with requests for more information on our software solution.
The response was shocking, it was obvious that this industry
had a great need for a solution to assist in
day to day office tasks.
After counting the requests we made a crucial business decision,
we would not release the system until it could be perfected.
Although the sales of ICMS would definitely have a great effect
on our bottom line, we didn't feel the system was mature enough
to release into a market that would rely on our software as the foundation of their business. Unlike many other firms in the technology industry we
decided to stand on principal. We also felt that although the technology to run the application was becoming more available, costs and reliability factors were still outside acceptable limits. Responses were sent
to those who requested information, and our decision was well received.
Over the past three years we have spent a great deal of time
perfecting our claims management solution. Several new features
such as document attachments, embedded file reporting, marketing
analysis reports, internal task creation & notification,
file activity log and billable time tracking have been added
in addition to existing file management, invoicing and reporting.
The most unique new feature is the Investigative Probe option,
this feature allows you to select a claim file and instantly
search your past files for similarities, names, passengers,
doctors, police officers, addresses, phone numbers or prior
losses. This feature can be extremely useful when dealing with
a full case load of accident benefit claims.
A special thanks goes out to all of our development team. With their senior level skill-set and the real life claims experience provided by the insurance industry for guiding the design and functionality of Virtual Claims Adjuster...."an adjusters best friend"...
